Our Story

The Montessori Inclusive School (TMIS) is a small, family-owned school established in the heart of Cedar Park, Texas.  TMIS is a culmination of Isabelle Abad Turner’s dream of opening a school to serve children of all backgrounds.   Mrs. Turner is a Montessori guide by profession and a mother by heart who strongly believes in this philosophy and hopes that her differently-abled daughter will have the same opportunity to obtain a Montessori education like her eldest son.  She is raising her children in a Montessori way of accepting who they are and supporting their own timeline of growth.  She attributes Montessori to her daughter’s independence (more like a spunk!), positive self-image, and great self-advocacy skills despite her disability. Additionally, Mrs. Turner’s teaching tenure in an international Montessori school made a powerful impact on her. She had a full class with families from different parts of the world. School events consisted of colorful costumes, authentic cuisines, and festive celebrations.  The school community was always very generous in sharing a part of their lives!  It paved the way for her to appreciate the uniqueness and gifts of each culture.  She realized that people’s differences can form a beautiful montage that enriches each other’s lives.
